Gerber joint

Making use of advantages

With articulated girders the disadvantages of continuous beams (sensitivity to support lowering) can be avoided and at the same time you can benefit from their advantages. With the module Gerber joint you can assess the joints of articulated girders.

Design criteria

The design of Gerber joints is regulated by DIN EN 1995-1-1:2010-12 in connection with National Application Documents. The carrying capacity of the connectors is regulated by DIN EN 1995-1-1, section 8.5.2.
