Timber panel

Precision prefabrication down to the millimetre

Timber panel construction revolutionised timber engineering. Even today, many designers are not fully aware of the possibilities offered by this construction method. Increasing requirements for thermal and acoustic performance, the growing importance of airtight building envelopes, and the advantages of fast, dry construction have contributed to the widespread use of timber panel construction.

Module T08

Wall panels can be designed using Module T08 in accordance with DIN EN 1995-1-1:2010-12 in conjunction with the applicable National Application Documents. The verification method follows DIN EN 1995-1-1:2010-12, Section 9.2.4.2 – Method A.
 

SHEATHING

The following material is available:

  • OSB panels, sheathing on one side
     

VERIFICATIONS

The following verifications are performed:

  • Load-bearing capacity of the fasteners
  • Racking resistance of the wall panel
  • Verification of buckling due to shear in the sheathing
  • Load-bearing capacity of the sheathing
  • Verification of the tensile anchorage of the end studs

Design basis
