Plug-in connector with versatile applications

The Hilti HCW connector brings the precision of prefabrication in timber construction to the building site. By using the HST2 V3 or HST4 bolt anchor, or the HSW hanger bolt, the plug-in connection can be used for a wide range of applications. The precision of the connection minimises the installation time of prefabricated wall, roof and floor elements.

CONNECTOR

Hilti HCW connectors are plug-in connectors for transferring tensile and shear forces in timber-to-timber, CLT-to-timber and timber-to-concrete connections. For the transfer of tensile forces in vertical structural elements, the connector is fitted with a strap and can be designed as an HCW-L hold-down connector.

VERIFICATIONS

The following verifications are performed:

Verification of the HCW connector in the timber member
(tension, shear and combined loading, including verification of the clamping mechanism)
Verification of the HSW hanger bolt for shear and tension
(timber-to-timber connection)
Verification of the HST2 V3 and HST4 bolt anchors for tension, shear and combined loading
(timber-to-concrete connection)
