Traditional carpentry joints have regained importance in modern timber construction. Modern woodworking machines make the economical production of these connections possible. As a pure timber-to-timber connection, the dovetail joint meets high aesthetic requirements and is easy to assemble.
The Dovetail Joint Module enables the design of primary-to-secondary beam connections as timber-to-timber joints in accordance with German technical approval Z-9.1-649, based on DIN 1052:2008-12 or DIN EN 1995-1-1:2010-12 in conjunction with the applicable National Application Documents.
Single-sided and double-sided connections are available in straight, inclined and sloping configurations.
Following the publication of the revised approval dated 18 June 2018, loads may be applied both in the insertion direction and perpendicular to the insertion direction.
To help you reach the required solution quickly, automatic connection optimisation is available. For individual adjustments, an expert mode is also provided.
Dovetail joints according to approval Z-9.1-649 may be used as timber connections in load-bearing timber structures designed in accordance with DIN 1052:2008-12 or DIN EN 1995-1-1:2010-12 in conjunction with the applicable National Application Documents.
